NYTimes piece on technology in the classroom

I just saw this article and thought I'd share -- it's about grade-schoolers but many of the issues we've been discussing are addressed:

  1. The school's approach makes complete sense. Learning how to use computers at 5 is crazy. As one of those interviewed said, Google and other companies makes working with technology quite easy, so there is no need to start so early.

    However, as we have seen with our older students, if you do start quite late in life, the learning curve might be high.

    Now, should we chuck the tech out of the window altogether? Maybe.That's what we need to figure out.
